Phantom Sucks
This production was a huge waste of time and money. The illusions didn't work due to poor production values, such as the "falling" chandelier that first moves vertically then horizontally and takes nine seconds to "fall" without touching the stage. The boat rolling around on casters without the fog effect, the sliding door mirror with the torn scrim, and the disappointing vocals below average high school standards. The orchestra sounded like it was playing in a trash can due to its placement under the stage. Nothing about this production was done well. I was very disappointed having seen Gary Allan in LA and London. I have seen two productions at Hobby Center, both amateurish and not worth seeing. I am not inclined to waste more money at Hobby Center.
